Caissan City Chess

Terms of use

Effective 3 October 2026. These terms cover the Caissan Chess app and caissan.com/cchess, operated under the name Caissan.

Creating an account, signing in, or sending a chat line means you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The game

Caissan Chess is a slow multiplayer game on shared maps. Three realms run on 6-hour, 10-hour, and 24-hour clocks. Rounds resolve on the server. The position you see after a round is the position the server produced.

Your account

You need an account to hold a kingdom. You must be at least 13 years old (or older if your country requires it). Keep the password to yourself. One person uses one account. You are responsible for orders and chat sent from your account.

Fair play

Play through the app. Do not attack the service, probe other accounts, automate orders to overwhelm a realm, or use another player’s account. We may close an account that does this, and we may remove the kingdoms tied to it.

Chat and conduct

Sector, city, and world chat are part of the game. Before you send a line, you must accept these terms.

You may not post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or aimed at minors; that shares another person’s private information; that is spam or advertising; or that tries to cheat, scam, or disrupt the realms. Usernames must follow the same rules.

The servers also reject messages and usernames that match a blocklist of sexual, hateful, or abusive terms. That filter is incomplete by design: people invent new spellings. You can report a line or block a player from the flag on every chat line. Blocking hides that player’s future lines from you; it does not remove them from the map. We may still remove lines, mute chat, ban an address or email, or close an account. Reports go to the operators and may take time to review. Write to support@caissan.com if you need help outside the app.

Kingdoms

Boards, pieces, and vault stock exist inside the realms. They have no cash value, and they cannot be exchanged for money. Stopping a kingdom, losing a kingdom, or a round that takes your land follows the game rules. Those outcomes are part of play.

The realms are meant to keep running. A fault can delay a round or, if the map is corrupted, force a repair. When that happens we describe it on the status page.

The site and the app

The name Caissan, the game, and the text and original artwork on this site belong to Caissan, except the chess-piece drawings named on the license page. You may read and link to these pages. You may not copy the game or the site to ship a competing product.

Ending

You can delete your account and its data from the delete account page or from Profile in the app. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we shut a realm down, we will say so on the status page before the data is removed, except where we have to act sooner to stop abuse or a fault.

Liability

The realms are provided as they run, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that a round will fire at the exact published minute, or that a kingdom will last. To the extent the law allows, Caissan is not liable for lost territory, lost time, an interrupted realm, or chat between players. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would point elsewhere. Courts in Brussels, Belgium have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules give you the right to sue in your home courts.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continued play after that date means you accept the new terms. Questions: support@caissan.com.
